Phone Validation and Scripting??

You would think that Adobe Live Cycle would already have validation patterns for phone numbers since it includes other patterns, but since it doesn't, can anyone tell me how to add it? (###) ###-#### is the format I would like.



Whatever the pattern, can I just insert it in the validation box or do I have to use Script Editor? I have no idea how to use that!

This validation is already there under the Object Tab. You have to make sure the field is selected as a Text Field, then underneath this is the validation. You can set it under either the Display or Edit Pattern Sections.



I hope this helps you out a little more. I agree you would think that this option would be able to be selected with the Field being a Numeric.
