microsoft visual c++ runtime library Runtime Error

Hi,



We are running LiveCycle Forms 6 on WebSphere 5.1.1.2. We house around 300 forms on the server and a few times a day we get a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error stating the following:



"Runtime Error! Program: ...\XMLForm.exe abnormal program termination"



We aren't getting anything showing what is causing this in our error logs, but this still happens several times a day and occasionally we have to restart the server causing the forms to be down to our users and customers for a couple of minutes causing several issues. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hi

A customer of ours had a similar-sounding problem, which ended up being related to the size of some very large XML files. I'm not sure whether this is the same problem you're seeing, but it might be worthwhile trying to correllate this problem against the size of the template and the XML file you're trying to merge.



Sorry to be so vague, but it might be worth-while at least investigating this as a possibility...

PS This customer was on Forms 7 not Forms 6.

Thanks for the reply Howard. That could very well be the case here as well. We have several multi-page forms that we are merging with XML files and they could be fairly large. Does anyone know if Adobe is working to resolve that issue? Is there a known limit as to the size of the XML file that can be merged with the form?
