Mandatory field settings not working?

Hello,



I always thought that if I set a field to 'User Input - Required' and add an empty message, that this message pops up, when I enter the field and exit it without entering data. Was I wrong? Because it does not to seem to work like this (any more?). At least I have made the experience that this kind of setting is not working in my tests. Did I miss something?

Any help/ideas/suggestions really appreciated.

(BTW: I'm using Designer 7.0, but I have the same problem also with Designer 7.1)
