I have a form I've working on, and now I can't edit it any more because it crashes. When I open it, it's very slow. I can't copy and paste to other form, neither seeing the XML, it crashes too with a runtime error.



Finally, managed to copy a table to an empty form, and I was able to see the XML code. It was filled with thousands of repeated lines:

How can I solve this mess with my main form? I can't edit the XML code!

Sorry, I have no idea how to do this if you cannot get into the source.



If you can get in to the source, all you have to do is delete them.

To see the XML source without using Designer, first open the form and save as a .XDP form. Once the form is saved you can open with any XML editor or even a text editor like notepad.

I had to use ultraedit, because the xdp file was huge (67Mb)

Wow - Great catch! What a bug! What a workaround!



Similar to apparently others, my files have grown and grown while Livecycle has grown increasingly unstable - simple copy/pastes were crashing.



Hard to believe that this bug is still in there though...

There was a bug where that line was being repeated 4 times each time you do an Undo operation. This bug has been fixed and is scheduled to be released in an upcoming version. In the meantime I have a style sheet that can be applied to the template that will get rid of the extra lines. If you know how to apply a style sheet simply drop me a line at livecycle8@gmail.com and I will send it to you.
