Generate auto e-mail confirmation to users who submit via e-mail?

Any way to have an auto confirmation sent to users who have submitted their form via e-mail?

ALSO...on the user end: when user hits Submit Form and it goes via their e-mail program, there is no message saying it went. It just stays on the open PDF. Shouldn't there be a pop up that says it was sent?

Email confirmation is not part of the SMTP, Simple Mail Transfer Protocol, that all email clients use. Also not all email clients support generating a receipt upon an email sent with this option.



The more consistent and reliable method is to submit the form data to a web service that will update a data base or email the final recipient and that could also email a confirmation including the completed PDF form.



Email is not considered secure and except for very non-sensative personal data should not be used for the submission of completed forms.

Set up the recipent's mail box to do it, if it is up to it. But what

you are describing is a robust system, and e-mail is not a robust

system - more of a toy for testing. I recommend you submit forms to

HTML.
