Data not showing when merge xdp's together

I have several dynamic xdp templates that are bound to a schema for a repeating data source...example an equipment list)that I have displaying in a grid that is dynamic for user to modify and add to at time of doc generation as well. When I display forms individually they work great. When we merge them together only the 1st document displayed shows the equipment list and the rest are blank like it doesn't know how to go back through the record list. Is this something I can control on each template or something with merging them? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
