Button to Perform Calculation and Appear in Field

I am very new to Live Cycle and would greatly appreciate some direction. I need to create a button that when clicked will show a calculations from hidden fields. I'm lost on how to accomplish this. TIA!

With FormCalc and JavaScript one can have the fields automatically perform calculations, so there may not be a need for a special button.
