Suprisingly, I can't not find the formcalc function to convert text to a number. Do I have to use Javascript?

I import a one page excel document to convert to forms in AA8. The document is missing the bottom section where the signature lines are.Excel 2002Win XP ProfLet me know what I can do to correct this so the whole document will be imported.Thanks
