Hello everybody !

I have a big problem with Adobe Reader 8.0 !

I created a form with Live Cycle Designer 8.0. I saved it on my computer.

I opened it with Adobe Reader 7.0.9, I filled it and sent with the E-mail button.

It worked fine, I had to choose between 3 solution :

1) Outlook or any other Mail Software (Lotus Notes) to send the file

2) Send it by web service like Gmail

3) Saving the XML file on the disk and use it later.

With Reader 7.0.9 it's OK !

When I try to do the same thing with Adobe Reader 8.0 it doesn't work. When I want to submit the XML Form Data, with the EMail button, Reader 8.0 open Microsoft Outlook. I don't have the choice like using Reader 7.0.9.

Is it a bug ? Did I something wrong ? Maybe I need to change something on my from in Live Cycle but I don't know what ???

May Be you could Help Me

Thank you very much for your potential reply.

In Designer, did you save your form as an Acrobat 8 (Dynamic) XML form? Try that and re-open in Reader 8.....

Hello

Thank's for your reply.

I did exactly what you said but it changed nothing. When I click on "Submit by Email" , I can't save the XML data file.

I am precising that I'm using a form with XML data submitting, not PDF submitting.

You create a PDF Form in Designer. When you want to publish it, to users, you create 2 other PDF Forms:

2) the PDF form that will be send by email ( I am not using it)

3) the data set form (when the user send back data)

Finally, you have 3 files :

1) The PDF Form model (I am using it)

2) The Publication PDF Form ( I am not using it)

3) The Data Set PDF Form

I am using the PDF form model not the publication PDF.

When you use the publication file, it's ok : you have the menu

When you use the PDF Form Model : there's a problem

If you have an example to show me, It could be OK.

Sorry for this big and boring reply
