Hi Team,
Hope You are doing great in this pandemic!!

Can schema of Datasets change in AEP once data is loaded into dataset that is enabled for profiles?

You can make some types of changes, like adding new fields and making a previously mandatory field optional, but some types of breaking changes cannot be made in order to preserve backwards compatibility. There is a table of what types of changes are allowed vs not allowed in the documentation:

Hello,

I have a question regarding sample data and schemas which we have created during tutorial. During schema creation we have created custom data type with system identifiers. The loyalty field group was not part of "root" node. But now i am in section about batch data ingestion where this custom data type contains also Loyalty node - Second printscreen. I can't find the step in the tutorial which would do this move. Is it even possible? How can i get loyalty node under my custom data type node? It seems that also the sample data are following this structure because during data import I am getting error message

The field: myTenantID.loyalty does not exist in the target schema. Remove the field and try again.

Error code:

INGEST-1205-400
An error occurred while processing the batch. Please contact support.

Thank you,

Tomas

Hi @_tomas_ , sorry for the slow response, I am just seeing your comment now. Would you mind downloading the latest sample data from the tutorial? https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/platform-learn/getting-started-for-data-architects-and-data-...

I think what might have happened is that we updated the Loyalty schema in the tutorial to use the new standard loyalty field group (in earlier versions of the tutorial you had to create your own) and the sample data wasn't updated until a little bit later.
