Event Forwarding | Monitoring UI

Avatar

Hey everyone,

Looks like a new field was added to 'Usage' in the Event Forwarding monitoring UI named 'Outgoing Quota'. There doesn't seem to be any documentation anywhere on this - does anyone have any information on this?

  • How to Track it?
  • Is it a contractual quota?
  • What happens once we surpass the quota?

Thanks,

Outgoing Quota in AEP Event Forwarding tracks the number of events sent to external systems. It's likely a contractual limit, and exceeding it may lead to warnings, throttling, or extra charges. You can monitor it in the Usage tab of Event Forwarding.

I will suggest you to contact your Adobe CSM for exact quota details.

Hey @KumarRishii confirming receipt - our Adobe Consultant confirmed this today. Adding the official read out from him below:

What does “outgoing quota” mean?

  • • In the Event Forwarding monitoring UI, Outgoing quota shows the total number of outbound Event Forwarding requests your company is currently entitled to send under its contract (i.e., the paid volume of server-side calls that can be made to third-party endpoints).
  • • The tooltip in the UI (“This is the current outgoing request quota for the company. It does not represent historical quotas for each month.”) confirms that it’s a single company-level limit, not a month-by-month allowance.

Why should customers watch it?

  • • Event Forwarding is a paid service; customers are billed on the volume of outgoing requests (not the incoming Edge requests). Tracking the quota helps ensure you stay within your purchased volume and can trigger conversations with the account team if usage approaches the limit.
  • • The monitoring screen already compares IncomingOutgoing and Outgoing quota so teams can see at a glance whether they are nearing (or exceeding) their entitlement.

Thanks,

Ty
