Best learning path?

Hello,

I have been working in IT for 26 years, including 15 years as an Enterprise (and Solutions) Architect. Lately, I've become very interested in Salesforce and Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) due to my role in supporting Sales and Martech departments. While I have a clear learning path for Salesforce, I'm unsure about the best way to master AEP. As a fan of Roy Fielding, I'm even more motivated to dive into Adobe tools. I would love to get guidance from this community.

The key areas I think I should focus on are:

  • Core concepts and architecture
  • Use cases and business applications
  • Data integration and ingestion
  • Identity management and customer profiles
  • Real-time customer data platform (CDP)
  • Segmentation and activation
  • Security and compliance
  • Best practices and performance optimization
Please, any suggestions on where to start and what resources to use would be greatly appreciated! I typically like a well-defined learning path, but I'm open to any advice.

Thanks so much for your help!

@Michael_Soprano thanks for calling out that content--building and managing that content is my day job! I'm glad it's helped you.

@JeanBaro2 , in addition to the videos at the URL above, it also links to this hands-on tutorial, which is a great resource to start getting your hands dirty. It does require that you have a Platform app license (RTCDP or AJO) and the ability to create a development sandbox to complete the learning. Are you able to do that? If not, it might be worth skimming through:

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/platform-learn/getting-started-for-data-architects-and-da...

There are also instructor led trainings available:
https://learning.adobe.com/learn-by-product/real-time-cdp.html

Please share questions in this forum as you begin your onboarding journey! I am always looking for ideas to improve this content.

I started my journey with AEP in October. I make dev certification in May. Tbh for the beginner I would start with watching these tutorials a lot (even few times to digest core concepts / naming): https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/platform-learn/tutorials/overview

Then learning by doing as you probably know.

Do you have anybody in your org who is more skilled than you?
