Using AEP as the Main Hub for Leads: Feasibility and Best Practices?

Hi AEP Community,

We're thinking about using Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) as the main hub (source of truth) for our leads in a financial institution. The idea is to capture all leads here, handle deduplication, and ensure top-notch data quality.

Our lead sources would include:

  • Web forms linked to AEP
  • Mobile apps connected to AEP
  • Batch loads (files with many leads that need to be ingested and deduped by AEP)
  • Salesforce UI (where sales agents enter lead info, which then gets sent to AEP for deduplication and quality checks)

Is this a good and practical approach?

After AEP processes (data quality checks, dedupe, etc) the leads, they’d be synced with Salesforce right away, either creating new records or updating existing ones.

Thanks for your thoughts!

@Jean_FabioBa yes this is doable, but honestly you want to keep this process out of AEP (or any cdp), quite a few reasons for this, some of them include

  1. The data from the web forms ideally should not include PII ( from leads) if done via client side, you can explore doing this server side but would require quite a bit of tech design and build
  2. Consent & Privacy: You may have to adhere to any privacy and data regulations based on what data you collect and get consent on each platform
  3. Data Anomalies & Updates: Data imported into AEP may not always be correct or right format, any changes at bulk, including wrong data in profile will take enormous effort to update/delet and will include help of adobe support & may be additional cost
