AEP Datastream Data Prep - Function to force string conversion

Hi all,

does anyone know of a function that converts any type into a string?
From what I have tested, I only see concat being able to perform the task, but no to_string or similar?

AJO has toString() function, it should change any data type to string @bjoern__koth

yeah, that would be the obvious. But it does not seem to exist in the datastream data prep

yes, then maybe at ETL level/ prior ingestion change to data to string to avoid any additional data transformation at AEP as it has the limitation @bjoern__koth

just feels like such a basic functionality which makes me wonder why it is not supported (or only with the concat workaround mentioned).
