Adobe Journey Optimizer Campaigns High Level Steps

Avatar

Level 8

Hi all,

Kindly share High Level Steps for sending  Campaigns using Adobe Journey Optimizer.

I understand some steps are optional depending on the use case.

But for a typical campaign management, what are the high level activities?

Ex: Create Campaign content with some optional variables.

Creating Campaign templates

Scheduling

Measuring

Optimizing

.................

Appreciate all your responses.

Thanks,

RK.

The high-level activities for typical campaign management in AJO include:
     1. Planning & Configuration

  • Select Campaign Type: Choose between Orchestrated (multi-step batch), Action (scheduled one-time), or API-triggered (event-based) campaigns based on your use case.
  • Set Channel Configuration: Select a Channel Surface (e.g., email) that contains technical parameters like subdomains and message headers.
  1. Audience & Targeting
  • Define Audience: Select a pre-built audience from Adobe Experience Platform (AEP).
  • Set Merge Policy: Choose how profile information is combined to ensure you are targeting the most accurate version of a customer profile.
  • Apply Business Rules if any.
  1. Content Creation & Personalization
  • Create Content: Design messages using the Email Designer.
  • Apply Personalization: Insert dynamic attributes (e.g., first name, loyalty points) directly into the content using the Personalization Editor.
  1. Testing & Scheduling
  • Test Content: Send proofs to test profiles to validate rendering and personalization variables.
Set Schedule: Configure execution for "As Soon As Possible," a specific date/time, or a Recurring Schedule (daily, weekly, monthly).
  1. Deployment & Optimization
  • Review & Activate: Perform a final check of all properties and content before publishing.
  • Measure & Refine: Use Live or Global Reports to track engagement metrics (opens, clicks, conversions) and optimize future campaigns.
