Prevent GA Cookie from dropping

Avatar

Level 2

Hi All,

I have the GA extension and want to prevent the GA (_GA) cookie from dropping but it appears this happens due to the extension being present, even when I have not added the extension as a condition/event/action in any rule. This is the same for the ECID but the ECID gives me the option in the extension to not fire based on criteria.

I am trying to do this so NO cookies drop until explicit consent is given (I am using the Evidon UCP extension).

While I know I can fire GA as a script and remove the extension, I want to avoid that.

Thanks in advance!

Had the same issue, the best way is to just fire as a script.

The next option would be is to reach out to the developers to add a condition just like ECID.
