In our previous post, we highlighted how a marketing operations specialist was able to reduce time from hours to minutes by leveraging AI Assistant to clean up audiences. In this post, we explore the challenges of onboarding new team members to Experience Platform, and how AI Assistant can ease this process by reducing the time required for new hires to become productive. When a new marketing operations manager joins, the first steps they take in the onboarding process are to become familiar with the platform, such as learning how to create, monitor, and evaluate campaigns. Before AI Assistant, this onboarding process often took anywhere from three weeks to over a month, heavily relying on digging through documentation.

This experience was articulated through a recent marketing operations hire for one of our Adobe Experience Platform customers, "Initially, I spent hours sifting through documentation or asking colleagues for guidance on specific tasks. Once I discovered AI Assistant, I quickly turned to it for answers. Now, I can ask right in the platform for what I need help with, and it immediately provides links to the relevant documentation. Each response saves me more than 10 minutes as I no longer need to manually search for the right document. Overall, using AI Assistant for troubleshooting saves me hours since I do not need to wait for a response from a colleague.”

A senior manager who regularly uses AI Assistant for onboarding new team members added, "In January, before we had AI Assistant, onboarding a new team member would take 3-4 weeks. A significant portion of my time was spent ensuring they understood the interface and providing them with documents that would help them with specific activities. I had to constantly answer their queries and search for the documents they needed. Since adopting AI Assistant, onboarding someone new has been reduced to just one week. Now, all I need to do is give them an initial overview, point them to a few helpful prompts that guide them through the workflows, and check back in once in a while."

AI Assistant can transform how your company onboards new talent year after year. Imagine saving over 50 hours for each new employee. Now multiply that by 10 or 100 employees. That’s thousands of hours you could redirect toward what truly matters - launching critical projects, driving innovation, and achieving company goals. Once your team gets comfortable with using AI Assistant during onboarding, it seamlessly integrates into their daily workflow, helping them discover new features, troubleshoot issues, and boost productivity well beyond the initial weeks.
