Welcome to all the new members who joined this month! We’re excited to have you in the Adobe AEM Community🎉. Whether you’re brand new or have been here a while, this space is all about learning, sharing, and connecting with peers who get what you do every day.

In a world where so much is automated and AI-driven, this space is different — it’s built on humans helping humans. Every question asked, every tip shared, every reply left here makes a real difference.

If you’re new, this is your first touchpoint — and we’re truly glad you’re here. Think of this thread as a friendly café table where you can pull up a chair, say hi, and get to know others who “get” what you do. To get started, share:

  • What company and role are you in
  • Which feature you’re using most
  • One area you want to get better at
  • How long have you been working with AEM
  • How long have you been using AEM

And give us your answer to this month's Ice Breaker question for all to kick things off:
👉 If you could rename one feature in AEM to something more fun, what would you call it?

If you’re already part of the community, jump in too — share a tip, answer a question, or just welcome someone new. Every reply makes this space more valuable for everyone.

We are assigning veteran SMEs in a round-robin fashion, and they will be your primary point of contact for any operational or community-related issues.

Hey Kautuk,

I’m Julian Tong, currently working as an Executive in E-Commerce, Digital Experience, and Webmaster at the Langham Hospitality Group. My role involves managing web operations, optimizing user experience, and ensuring accessibility across our digital platforms — including several hotel websites built on AEM.

  • Company & Role: LHG – Executive, E-Commerce & Digital Experience
  • Most-used Feature: AEM Sites & Components
  • Area I Want to Improve: Understanding how to personalize and create better site designs, as well as optimizing content and tailoring it to my audience's needs
  • Experience with AEM: About a few months
  • Using AEM: Actively since I started!

🔹 Ice Breaker Answer:
If I could rename one AEM feature, I’d call the “Content Fragment Models” something like “Puzzle pieces” lol.

Looking forward to learning from everyone here and sharing ideas. Feel free to reach out if you’re working on anything related to hospitality or multilingual site management!

Welcome, @JulianTo1! Great to have someone from the hospitality space here. Managing multiple hotel sites in AEM sounds both exciting and challenging. Love your take on ‘Content Fragment Models’ being like puzzle pieces 😊. Curious to know how do you usually approach balancing brand consistency across all hotel sites while tailoring content to each property’s audience?

Thanks, appreciate it 🙂 I'll try and stay active as much as I can, as we do have a lot of tasks to get on. I think the best way I approach consistency is by maintaining the same workflow across everything - down to the finest detail. As you have so much material constantly coming in and out, we always have to prepare for peak seasons and any campaigns that come in during certain times of the year.

Then in terms of tailoring content, it becomes more straightforward when there’s a strong brand identity in place. We’re guided by clear brand requirements, and that naturally helps us strike the right balance between consistency and localization. It’s all about adapting within what you're working with, rather than reinventing it each time.

Welcome @JulianTo1 - love the "puzzle pieces" name.

Out of interest are you using AEM 6.5 or Cloud Service?

Heyyy Martin! Nice to meet you, and thanks as well HAHA. That name was not that good in my opinion, it could've potentially been about football...

I'm currently using AEM 6.5 - although I'm a bit inexperienced, it's been very straightforward to use.

Hey Kautuk and Adobe Experience Team,

I'm Sri Harish Nasaka, currently a Consultant at Deloitte. I’ve been working with AEM for about five years, primarily supporting healthcare and life sciences clients. It’s great to have a community where we can share and learn new things about AEM and its ecosystem!

Following @JulianTo1's lead, here are a few details about me:

  • Company & Role: Deloitte, Consultant
  • Most-used Feature: AEM Sites & Components, XFs, CFs, Assets, CJA Analytics with Target
  • Areas to Improve: I recently discovered Adobe Launch and am eager to explore its capabilities. I’ve also spent the past few months implementing site CJA analytics and am interested in learning more about Adobe Target.
  • Experience with AEM: Just over five years
  • Using AEM: Actively since I started!

Lemme know if you have any questions! Happy to be here and excited to meet everyone in the community! Looking forward to connecting and learning together.

Hi Everyone

I work as a learning specialist for one of Australia's largest banks. Outside of work, I'm also a photographer/ videographer.

Can anyone confirm if the Adobe Certified Expert exams/certifications still exist? Getting mixed messages from what I can find online.

Hey, fellow photographer here. Nice to meet ya! I most recently shot at LFW 25', hope I can go back to shooting someday though 😞

TBH, I've also been looking for these - they exist however not particularly in AEM.

Have a look and see if there's any that align with what you're looking for. I think Adobe Analytics is always a shout.

Hi @KerrieBu,

Yes, they do exist — there are different types of exams for each Adobe product (AEM, Analytics, Target, etc.). Typically, you can earn a QualifiedProfessional, Expert, or Master certification depending on your experience and knowledge.

We’d be happy to help you navigate this certification path. The link Julian shared contains all the available certifications across the various Adobe products (https://certification.adobe.com/certifications#filters=Adobe%20Experience%20Manager

The Adobe Digital Experience Program appears to be primarily designed for developers, business practitioners, and IT architects, rather than for visual designers (with the exception of Firefly).

It also seems that Adobe no longer offers an “Expert” level certification for the Creative Cloud applications. The current structure only lists the “Professional” level, which is targeted at individuals with up to one year of experience.

If I recall correctly, Adobe’s previous certification framework included:

  • Professional level: 0–1 year of experience — still available

  • Expert level: 1–3 years of experience — appears to be discontinued

  • Master level: 3–5 years of experience — appears to be discontinued

Is it correct the Expert and Master levels for Adobe Creative Cloud are no longer available?
