All,
We are currently on AEM 6.1 and are planning to move to AEM 6.2... We wanted to find out if there are folks who have upgraded from AEM 6.1 to 6.2 and have any experiences to share. Especially any issues or things to watch out for. I couldnt find any specific documentation related to 6.1 to 6.2 upgrade.
You thoughts/advise are really appreciated!

Hi,
The page Scott mentioned is the official documentation for the upgrade. When doing an upgrade there are two steps, upgrading the repository and then upgrading AEM to 6.2.
If you are already on 6.1, then you will be using OAK so no need to upgrade the repository, so you just need to follow the steps in the performing the AEM upgrade section

Opkar

Thanks @smacdonald2008
It just talks about the crx2oak migration. I am specifically looking for any experience or documentation around moving from 6.x to 6.2.

We are attempting the upgrade to 6.2 from 6.1 today on our dev environment and so far it has been less than stellar. We did the install and it failed with tons of errors. We are now trying a fresh install. I am hoping that a fresh install is not needed every time there is a new release.

What were the errors, did you raise a daycare ticket for your issues? The support team may have already seen the issues you ran into and might be able to help.

Let me take one step back. It looks as if the issues were not with the upgrade but with our VMs. We are making another attempt.

Thanks for your inputs Opkar.
@Mark thanks for sharing your experience. From the documentation, AEM 6.2 does only supports JRE 1.8. Feel free to share thoughts once you are done....
