We've run into a bit of a roadblock with all of our Mac developers in our office. No one running Macs is able to currently start up their local instances of AEM (we tried both 6.4 and 6.3) on any version of MacOS we have (10.13.6 or 10.14.6). We had them try and remove their local instance completely and re-install, which works successfully, but the moment they try and shut down and then start back up their instance, they all hang after the exact same sequence of messages in the crx-quickstart/l...

I was wondering if anyone has migrated Wordpess blogs over to AEM Communities (6.3 or 6.4)? I have not found any easy ways or tools to handle this. I am just curious if anyone has done this, has any recommendations, or has any suggestions?thanks in advance

I have seen a couple of other posts regarding the Indonesian language in AEM and no solutions.Indonesian language in AEM MSM New language (Indonesian) vs Page.getLanguage() According to AEM docs, the language copies should be set up following ISO 639-1 - Creating and Translating Language Copies - docs.adobe.com We did this for Indonesia, so the language copy is id_id. We then had problems with our i18n file not working and after talking to Adobe support, they determined it was because JAVA is ex...

I am also curious if anyone got an answer? We are running into the same issue. We set up Indonesia in AEM as id_id and then we were having problems with our i18n file not working. We worked with Adobe support and that is when we found out the JAVA issue.

I have a question for the community regarding best practices for handling project organization, changes and regression.Project organization Is it more common for clients to have their sites built out into separate projects that share jar or .class files across them, or to have the sites as subprojects of the main project? What are the pros/cons of each approach?Have you seen any examples of this type of configuration done in Gradle? Managing changes and regression bugs Are there any best practice...

We are trying to restructure our DAM by moving assets to different folders. We are doing this through the TouchUI and notice that we can do about 1 or 2 without a problem but as soon as we choose about 3 or 4 assets we get the message that we are moving assets with more than 150 references and then the files never move. We have let it sit for over 30 minutes and it never seems to complete. I did some searching and found this article (http://www.tothenew.com/blog/important-things-to-consider-for-...

I am trying to figure out the best way to handle external links on pages that need to be different depending on the regional site. I am curious how others have handled this. Here are some use casesHeader/Footer - the header and footer are the same for all regional sites and they will go through a localization process when rolled out to each regional site. The only different would be that some links in the header ie: Support would need to be different for each region. Support on the US site might...

We are using AEM 6.2 and just launched our new site. We are using MSM and blueprinting from our master en to en_us and en_ca. We just had an issue were someone edited one of the pages under en_us which then broke inheritance. Is there an easy way to get inheritance back so that the page(s) are connected back to the master en? thanksM

We are using AEM 6.2 and I am curious how others are handling the rewriting of urls to avoid duplicate content and a bunch of 404s. This question is primarily related to SEO.How are you handling these scenarios?www.yoursite.com/en/whatever/ -> whatever.html www.yoursite.com/en/whatever -> whatever.html www.yoursite.com/en/whatever.html/ ->whatever.html Basically we want to rewrite, not redirect, all of these to whatever.html. I looked at other sites using AEM and some do not address these at all...

We do not get any errors or see anything in the logs. It only happens with components using acs-commons-nested="NODE_STORE"

Has anyone run into problems using EDGE Browser to edit in the authoring system? We are running into issues where content gets deleted when trying to edit with EDGE. If we drop EDGE to IE11 mode then it does not have any problems. It seems that this only happens with components that utilize ACS Commons. I am not sure if that is related or not. We do no have any issues with IE11, Chrome or FF. thanks

Let me take one step back. It looks as if the issues were not with the upgrade but with our VMs. We are making another attempt.

We are attempting the upgrade to 6.2 from 6.1 today on our dev environment and so far it has been less than stellar. We did the install and it failed with tons of errors. We are now trying a fresh install. I am hoping that a fresh install is not needed every time there is a new release.
