Hi, there!
When editing a page, is there an OOTB, fast and author friendly way of switching between the Classic UI and the Touch UI?
I'm aware of the option to switch from the Touch UI to the Classic UI:
But is there an option to switch back? I mean: is there a button or a menu item to switch from the Classic UI to the Touch UI?
Thanks!
Regards,
Daniel.

I dont think there is any OOTB from classic to touch UI, two things can be done here:-
1. Customize sidekick in classic UI to add a button which does this. Will be simple. Start from here http://adobeaemclub.com/customize-aem-sidekick-add-useful-feature/
2. You can configure default UI for account / instance https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-2/author/author-environment/select-ui.html
thanks

Hi, Praveen. Thank you for your answers!
I will check the first option.
I believe the second one isn't really an option because if I set the default either to Classic or to Touch UI, how would I quickly move back to the Touch UI?
I would need to change the browser URL to move back :-(
Thanks!
Regards,
Daniel.

Praveen answer is correct - all you need to do is add a button to the sidekick to get to Touch - Touch UI has editor.html in URL while Classic has cf#.

Hi, Henrique
I agree with the suggestions provided here by Dubey and Scott. In addition to that you can do this by using the following chrome plugin https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/aem-developer/hgjhcngmldfpgpakbnffnbnmcmohfmfc
It contains several features where you/authors can utilize. You can recommend your authors to add this extension so that they don't need to be too worried about switching the UIs.
Hope this helps!
Hi Daniel,
Even I was also looking for the same. Please refer the following link: http://experience-aem.blogspot.in/2015/02/aem-6-sp2-add-open-page-in-touch-ui-button-to-classic-ui-s....
I have installed the given package and tested on chrome and firefox.
Now, I am following Praveen's article and the above link to learn the customization.
Hope this will help.
Thanks,
Debal

In Addition to Praveen Answer,
you can also create your own add-on or already created which will help you to switch between classic UI and Touch UI.
