what are the differences between "regular" AEM vs AEM + EDS?

I tried the tutorial previously and it seems the AEM components I have for regular AEM needs to be redeveloped for AEM+EDS?

perhaps there's more to it?

You can learn more about EDS here https://www.aem.live/ 

In EDS you creates blocks rather than components and there is no backend logic. everything needs to be done at client-side in javascript and css.
