Social Component Framework

i want to create a  custom social component (like blog,forum etc..) .And if I want to go with handlebars for my component development , do i have to use SCF framework for it ?  is there any way to create a custom component without SCF ?

Yes, you can create your own components and respective endpoints to respond to your components. You can use handlebars or other ui frameworks such as react or angular, and you can choose to use SCF or create your own backend components. It will be more work because you'll be creating a lot of things from scratch, but if that is what your project needs then it is definitely possible.

That said, is there a reason that SCF does not meet your needs? Is there an enhancement you'd like to bring to our attention?

I have created one  component called "leaderboard" which will display the author list depends on No.of Post and No.of.Views  . In this component,i will get a path of any Community page which has a blog component as an input . i have created this component using sightly . But now i want to convert it into  .hbs(handlebar) . Im totally new to handlebars and  SCF . I  dont know where to start with SCF  and how  do i convert this into HBS .

Please do help me or guide me  in this ...!
