Re: AEM community blogs - Not able to find the configuration functions JK_Kendall - Adobe Experience Manager
1) If you're using AEM 6.3, please use 6.3 documentation, i.e. Community Functions2) You have access to configurations for functions from the site template or group template which includes it. Either set the value when adding the function to the template or select the gear icon for a function that exists in a template. The Getting Started tutorial for enablement might provide a better visual when it shows adding a catalog functionSee also Blog EssentialsHope this helps.- Janice

Re: UGC not visible on page after selecting the DSRP JK_Kendall - Adobe Experience Manager
What AEM version? If not AEM 6.3, what Communities version?I'm assuming you select DSRP and then select Submit, right? And you do this on all AEM instances, both author and publish? If you entered UGC when JSRP was the choice, you won't see it when DSRP is selected (and vice-versa). If you need to migrate UGC, see the UGC Migration Tool.- JK

Re: Storage of OOTB Blog component JK_Kendall - Adobe Experience Manager
Hopefully you have AEM 6.2 and are installing Communities FP2.AEM Communities sizing considerationsAs described in AEM Communities sizing considerations:AEM sites that include AEM Communities features (community sites) experience a high level of interaction from site visitors (members) in the publish environment. The sizing considerations for a community site depends on the anticipated interaction by community members and whether optimal performance for page content is of higher importance.User ...

I believe so, but note (from MSRP doc page) :The mongoDB database, which defaults to the name communities, should not be set to the name of a database being used for node stores or data (binary) stores. See also Storage Elements in AEM 6.- JK

Re: AEM Community comments components JK_Kendall - Adobe Experience Manager
From other discussions I've seen, I believe the only way to implement this is to create a "guest" user on publish (a guest member) and write custom code that auto signs anonymous visitors in as the guest user if they want to enter comments.- JK

Re: Add HBS Custom Helper JK_Kendall - Adobe Experience Manager
What release of Communities do you have? For AEM 6.2, you need at least FP1.I would recommend figuring out what is the issue you're having with client libs.If you edit /etc/clientlibs/social/commons/scf/helpers.js, it could be overwritten in a future release. The more details you could provide, the better.- JK

Re: Communities license understanding JK_Kendall - Adobe Experience Manager
If you go into production with a site that uses the Communities capability, you should have a license for it.You can experiement with it in a development environment without paying for a license. That's my understanding. If I don't quite have it right, I'm sure someone else will reply.- JK

Re: Extended Social Component - On Dispatcher/VIP JK_Kendall - Adobe Experience Manager
From the troubleshooting section : A major source of problems is inserting filter rules without paying attention to the affect on earlier rules, especially when adding a rule to deny access. The very first filter pattern is often used to deny everything so that following filters restore access in a controlled manner. When multiple filters apply to a request, the last filter that applies is the one in effect. And this note : Property Name Examples All property names shown, such as /0050 and /0170,...

Re: Facebook log-in is broken JK_Kendall - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi Stanley,I am no expert on this. All I can do is point out the history of social login for AEM and that AEM 6.2 Communities works with FB API 2.5.Also, there is sample code for creating an OAuth provider (using LinkedIn as an example) - I don't know if you can do something with that.I hope someone else will respond to this thread or you could open a support ticket.I think the key is to understand what did change, because something changed. If you deployed or changed nothing in AEM, then it sug...

Re: AEM Reverse Replication JK_Kendall - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi Rama,1) AEM Communities is a capability of AEM and delivered within the AEM platform (quickstart). You can play with AEM Communities OOTB, but if you go into production with it, it needs to be licensed. The feature packs are additional features and fixes for Communities delivered separately from the AEM platform.2) It means reverse replication is not used for UGC. Reverse replication does have other uses, and must be configured for Communities.3) To view the current SRP choice, or to make ano...

Re: AEM Reverse Replication JK_Kendall - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi,The version of AEM you're using makes a difference. Regardless, the basic reply is that this has nothing to do with reverse replication.Up through AEM 6.0, the blog feature was based on a page template and content was only entered in the author environment and published (forward replication).Starting in AEM 6.1, the blog feature was migrated to the Communities social component framework (SCF), and became a feature that allowed content to be entered by community members in the publish environm...
