Retrieve dialog value in AEM 6.2 using jquery

Hi All,

Suppose I have a numberfield and a default value is set on it, [value="3"].

Using jquery how do I get this "3", which is being used for some further manipulations.

Any thoughts/reference code on this will be helpful.
