Restrict tag inline search from a location

Hello Experts,

We have a requirement to restrict tag selection from a articular path. I was able to customize tag picker with the help of below post:

Although, i also want to restrict tag search from inline box. I was looking into below file, but even after providing root path to restrict tag path, “searchFor” is showing all values

/libs/cq/gui/components/common/tagspicker/clientlibs/tagspicker.js

Please suggest.

this is not a common use case - hence why community may not have too many suggestions. I will look within Adobe to see if people have done something similiar.
