I'm looking into optimising the image renditions that can be generated by AEM. From what I can tell, the file size of the rendition will depend on the file size of the original image. For example, if a user uploads "image.jpg" which is 1MB into AEM and a component generates the renditions, they may be quite a large file size. However, if "image.jpg" is 300kb, the file size of the renditions may be smaller.
I would like to know if there is any way to optimise the image renditions further within AEM so that even if the original image is optimised before upload, the generated renditions are compressed as much as possible.
