Oak Search Machine Translation (org.apache.jackrabbit.oak-search-mt) unresolved packages

Hi community!

I'm currently trying to get the following tutorial working:

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-learn/assets/translation/smart-transla...

I found my needed version (1.62.0 here: https://central.sonatype.com/artifact/org.apache.jackrabbit/oak-search-mt/overview). After installing the bundle to my local environment, I'm getting multiple imported packages that cannot be resolved:

I also found an old thread regarding this topic: https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/adobe-experience-manager/oak-search-machine-transla...

Unfortunately there was no satisfying solution given.

Did anybody else try to get this working and has some advice?

Thanks &
best regards!

Hi Humppa,

It's quite an enjoyable journey to get this piece of wonderful technology started.

In case you still want to proceed with this quest...

1. Make sure you don't just download the latest version but download version that matches your Oak Core version release(will get some of the dependencies auto resolved)

2. Create a mini maven project with the library and all the dependencies that this bundle needs and that are not already exposed by your AEM installation.

3. Now you have your bundle successfully running and you can proceed with the next steps.

Thank you Peter.

I chose to proceed and at least got that bundle working locally. But then I stumbled again, because that Apache Joshua thing went to retirement. Language packs aren't available anymore... That was a downer.

So I ask myself, where can I click the button to apply to retire that AEM Assets Tutorial too?

Anyway, thank you for your help.

Regards,

Annika
