java.lang.StackOverflowError error in RTE source edit plugin

Avatar

Level 1

Hi,

I am trying to use Source Edit plug in RTE and adding HTML code which contains base64 encoded string for the image source. I am able to preview it in the dialog.

After submitting the dialog changes, text component becomes irresponsive and when I reload the author page text component is not visible to edit. When I try to load the page in publish mode I am seeing below error.

Below is the HTML I am pasting in the source editor of RTE

<div class="resource-title-container">

@nagarajukoniki1i would deal in different way,

the beauty of using an RTE field/AEM Editor experience is when business content author can create/manage content. In above case, you are trying to use it in hard way, and will be developer/power user dependent as normal business authors can't do the same stuff even though we try to solve your technical error.

Instead you can use image browsing feature of RTE and browse those logos from DAM directly or use styles feature in RTE and add a class to your span tag, and let the logo be prefixed via CSS.

The only possible explanation for this behaviour is the text source editor does not support base64 encoding
