Is there any verification process for installation of AEM/cq5?

I started installation of AEM6.2 in local system. because of system freeze, i have aborted AEM start-up process before it extracts "crx-quickstart" folder completely. Later i have resumed the installation process by running the aem-author-4502.jar file where i found that after complete extraction of the jar file the side kick is not visible in the geometrixx websites. and also there system is not behaving as expected for the user admin console.

Is there any verification process of the system stability and complete extraction process after installation of AEM something like report generation which can say about the aem installation is success and all the OOTB needed features has installed complete.? so that i can check after installation my AEM is complete perfect installed.

Its a stand alone Jar, i am using the license properties file along with startup of the jar file. my question is after complete installation, is there a way to do a sanity check for the installation procedure verification.?

Hi,

One thing you can verify  - Install and start AEM as a Windows Service and you can check whether CQ5 is running or not. You can start and stop the service(AEM)

See this page: https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-2/deploy/custom-standalone-install.html and screenshot below

Hi

I would agree with Ratna, if there would be any problem with default or custom components we could get its information in AEM error.log. If there is no error them AEM is working fine.

 Log File Name Description

access.log:- All access requests to AEM and the repository are registered here.

request.log:- Each access request is registered here together with the response

error.log:- Error messages (of varying levels of severity) are registered here.

Also please have a look at this :- http://localhost:4502/libs/granite/operations/content/diagnosis/tool.html/granite:logmessages  (This is where you will see the logged messages that you choose.)
