Based on my experience the best practice is integrating analytics with AEM via Launch.

If you want to integrate AEM with the Analytics framework then it is not recommended because of the below reason.

Connecting to Adobe Analytics and Creating Frameworks - Please note that "Analytics frameworks" are legacy in AEM, and their creation does not work in AEM as a Cloud Service because it requires the Classic UI. Launch by Adobe should be used instead, both for variable mapping and for the deployment of JS libraries to pages.

If you don't have an adobe i/o account, you can directly configure the launch script in the head section of your  page by making it content authorable at page properties level
