Indexing Problem in AEM 6.1

I am facing a problem in indexing huge volume of data.When I tried to set the property of re index to true,It started the indexing but at some point of time am getting an error like could not save the property.Is there any way to run the index for content path(ie /content/geometrixx) excluding the dam asset.Please provide your valuable solution to overcome this problem.

You may have ran into a bug. Please open a ticket if the GEMs session does not help.
