How can add vanity url for Dam asset

I have dam url : https://mywebsite.com/dam/mysite/doc/abc.pdf

is there any way to remove the dam from url like this: https://mywebsite.com/mysite/doc/abc.pdf

actually I have performance issue to download the asset from dam.Please suggest anyway to improve the performance.
