Establish Connection between two remote instances - 1. AEM Sites, 2. DAM

AEM Sites and DAM are residing on two remote servers at different locations. We have to establish a connection between these two instances considering the following conditions.

1. Actions done in DAM Author environment should be reflected in DAM Publisher and AEM Sites Author environment.

2.  Any linked image component in AEM Sites should render the components from DAM.

3. Please help us in providing the solution to create binding between these two separate instances. (AEM Sites and DAM)

Note : Connected Assets is one of the feature to establish in AMS but we want this to be in AWS environment.

As per my understanding, Connected assets[1] is the only option to have one AEM instance fetch data from another AEM instance.

You can use this feature on the on-premise setup as well. This feature can be used on any AEM instance not just AMS
