Drawback of Cq:Page and Cq:PageContent

Hi,

Any drawbacks creating of  cq:page/pageContent instead of create nt:unstructured.

It won't be recognized correctly as a page if you create an nt:unstructured.

Why would you need to be concerned about this?  If you create a page within AEM it automatically creates the correct node types - if you do it using code, then using the PageManager to create the page will also take care of this for you.

Yes - if you want a node to store values and props (for storing data in the JCR)- do not create a node of those types. In fact - these pages are created when you create a page based on a template.

No disadvantages as such, Query cost matters when using nt;unstructured nodes.
