SOLVED

DAM folder versus files authoring permissions

Avatar

Level 2

Is it possible to restrict authors from creating or editing folders in the DAM but still have full access to modify assets within folders? Including uploading, modifying metadata, moving assets, and publishing assets.

We would like to create a folder taxonomy and keep it organized so that we can sync with other ingestion systems.

@james-mke It should be achievable using user permissions(ACLs).

1. Create custom dam user group(dam-users-test) and

2. assign permissions as read and modify only on given folder path(ex: /content/dam/myassets).

3. Map user to this dam-users-test user group
