You cannot download AEM. You need to talk to an Adobe Sales rep. They will give you instructions on how to get AEM.

Hi Irfan,
as explained in [1], the AEM stack is built on Sling(includes Felix OSGI) and Jackrabbit OAK. Both of which are freely available. This is a good way to learn the fundamentals of AEM.
