Hi,
I have just switched over my development to touch-ui, for the past 2 years that I have worked on AEM I have only worked on classic-ui.
I am trying to build a simple component with a custom dialog.
However I do not see my component listed on the AEM Touch UI side rail. Actually I do not see any components on it at all.
In the sidekick on classic-ui I would have to select what components would be visible in design view. Do I need to do something similar in touch-ui.
Regards
Clive Stewart

Hi Clive,
See this Touch UI article titled - View the AEM page in Classic view and populate the AEM sidekick(located near the end of the article)
https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/creating-touchui-component.html
Once you can see it in within Classic UI - It will appear in Side Rail of Touch UI.
Hope this helps!
Thanks,
Ratna Kumar.

Hi
Please have a look at the duplicate post:-
//
Hi
You are absolutely right.
We need to do this in Touch ui as well as we use to do for Classic UI.
1. Select "Design mode", right top
2. Go to page and select select Configure tool icon as shown in image below. (it would be difficult for you initially find this tool. Hint:- Make sure u select the section with max blue selection seen and then click configure icon )
3. Now Dialog box will open same as we have in touch ui, select all the groups that your want to add in side rail.
4.Go to Edit mode again.
5. Use it from side rail.
And if you would like to add custom component group, then its is that when you create a component, add a property called 'componentGroup' with a value 'customApp'
Now, in the page where you want to enable the same, click on 'design mode' and do what i stated above in steps.
Once you are back on the edit mode of the page, you should be able to see 'customApp' in the side kick/rail.

I hope this will work for you.
