To elaborate. All the content is transferred, but archived content is not.The authors often run special events on a page and then revert back to the previous version after a period of time.I have tried moving content across using the package manager, and I do get everything across but I end up loosing all previous versions of the pages.

I have a situation where I have created a new instance of aem 6.2I have installed and run a package on the new instance with my AEM 6.0 site.My code works correctly, the DAM moved correctly, content is correct. However the versions I have on several pages is not transferred. So I need a method to export the relevant JCR data from my old instance into the new instance. Is there any recommended tools and best practices to doing this. Hi Peter, Unfortunately I am working on code written by other developers. They do not want to move to HTL. So when I look through their code all try {} catch() {} code suppress all errors. E.gtry {Some Java code to read a resource} catch (Exception e) {} So I must make best of it as I cannot follow the best practice, which to me is use HTL (avoid JSP) and OSGI for business logic (i.e. do not have the java code for this in a jsp) , and where JSP is used keep the java simple. If its complex place ...

Hi Feike, Thank you for the answer. everything I have read and understand about AEM had lead me to believe it is not a wise idea but rather fix the dispatcher's configs it if their is any issues. However I needed to ask this question on the forum to double check if I was correct.

Hi,Our system architect (who has never worked with AEM before) wants to remove dispatcher from our AEM environment. Our dispatcher is causing some issues according to the him and should be removed as it is not needed. My theory is that the dispatcher is incorrectly configured. However to my knowledge the dispatcher is crucial for caching and url redirects. So my question is, is there any good reasons to not have dispatcher or is it necessary to have a dispatcher. I am not a sysops person but I c...

Hi all, I am trying to call 2 resources on AWS API gateway from an OSGI bundle.I don't know if I am going down the wrong track by even trying. It is easy to create an OSGI for directly interacting with S3, and DynamoDB from an OSGI bundle. It is also easy to generate an Android-Sdk to access the Api Gateway. However, I have never tried to use android java code inside of an OSGI.One can import using Maven the aws SDK into an OSGI project.I have access from there to com.amazonaws.services.apigateway....
