We are trying to get AEM6 up and running a couple of dev boxes, but keep getting blue screen crashes.
- two of the machines are laptops (4GB ram), one is a desktop (8GB ram)
- they are all Lenovo machines that are running our corporate image (which includes various services, including Symantec Endpoint Protection)
- they are all running Windows 7 professional 64bit
- we have tried both the 32bit and 64 bit version of java 7 (1.7.0_65)
- these same machines run AEM 5.6 just fine
The behavior is sometimes slightly different, but basically goes like this:
- Start AEM with the following command: java -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -Xmx1024M -jar <AEM_6.0_Quickstart.jar>
- If no license file is in place it will prompt for the license info, then continue to start
- When it goes to open the browser window, it often Blue Screens at this point
- Sometimes it successfully opens the browser window. If it does you can often navigate through the menu, but it might blue screen at anytime
- If you try to create a new project, it will go through the whole process, but then blue screen when it tries to open the new project
Any thoughts on how to get it working?
