Assets sorting | Default Behaviour

Hi All,

Assets in AEM 6.2 can be sorted on parameters like "Title", "Modified" etc  . On clicking of "Title" it sorts the assets in 3 different ways .

1) On 1st click , it sorts the assets in ascending order .

2) On 2nd click, it sorts the assets in descending order,

3) 3rd Click, it shows the assets as per jcr  persistence order.

Is it the correct default sorting  behavior of assets  ? Or it should be ascending or descending alternatively (option 1 and 2 only) ?

How to disable the 3rd click ?

Any link that talks about the default behavior will  be helpful.

Thanks in advance for your views.

Thanks,

There is no documentation that talks about how to disable the default click behavior of the Asset View. If you want to get another result set - that you can order, you can look at building a custom View Under the Tools menu that uses Java APIs to query Assets and then place them in a custom view.

To see how to build a custom view under Tools - see how this custom Vanity Tool was built -- Scott's Digital Community: Developing a VanityPath Manager for Adobe Experience Manager

I also see the 3 click functionality in my AEM 6.2 Asset View:
