AEM-remote SOLR OOTB integration & index exclusion rules

Avatar

Currently the remote SOLR document  is filled with all the repository paths which increases the SOLR diskspace

Is there any way to tell the OOTB AEM-remote SOLR to index only
  1. /content
  2.  /dam

Paths alone. This is to avoid/exclude paths like /var , /etc etc not be indexed as we are interested only in content and dam assets

Please share if any such configuration

Thanks Steve

But that thread is not having the required input to apply exclusion pattern for SOLR indexing as requested.

May be Adobe AEM community members can help in this open question? Please share if any addtional

Here is the AEM SOLR docs:

https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-0/deploy/upgrade/queries-and-indexing.html

I agree that these need to be improved as your question is not really addressed. Can you please open a ticket here for this. Be sure to log a bug against the docs and state what info is missing.

This information should be in the AEM documentation.

In mean time - i will search for this answer in Adobe.

Not sure if this works with solr indexes, but have you tried the excludedPaths and includedPaths properties?
