AEM Forms JEE vs AEM Forms OSGi

Hi Team
Is  AEM Forms OSGi nothing but AEM Adaptive Forms ,Can we use AEM Forms in AEMaaCS by installing add-on package and content package ?

AEM Forms JEE at this client (Standalone application outside of AEM) ,What is advantages of AEM Forms JEE over the AEM Forms OSGi ,Any assoication between these two ?

AEM Forms JEE was previously named Livecycle. We have both AEM Forms OSGi and AEM Forms JEE at this client

Here are some advantages of using AEM Forms JEE over AEM Forms OSGi

1. Support for clustering: AEM Forms JEE provides support for deploying forms to a clustered environment, which can improve performance and scalability. With AEM Forms OSGi, clustering is not supported.

2. Legacy application integration: If your organization has legacy Java applications that need to integrate with AEM Forms, JEE deployment can be more convenient. This is because AEM Forms JEE runs on a traditional Java application server, which can be integrated with other Java applications in a more straightforward manner than OSGi.

3. More extensive developer community: AEM Forms JEE has been around for longer and has a more extensive developer community. This means that there are more resources available for developers, including documentation, forums, and support.

4. More stable release cycle: AEM Forms JEE has a slower and more stable release cycle compared to AEM Forms OSGi, which tends to have more frequent and rapid updates. This can be an advantage for organizations that prefer a more predictable and stable release cycle.

5. More customization options: With AEM Forms JEE, developers have more options for customizing and extending the platform, including the ability to add custom Java code, integrate with third-party Java libraries, and create custom workflows. @varaande- As AEM Forms JEE advantages over OSGi have already been answered by @Jagadeesh_Prakash, please find the below pointers to your other queries -

1. AEM Forms on OSGi is nothing but AEM Forms Package deployed on AEM instance.
The AEM Forms add-on package contains services (API providers) which are deployed into the AEM OSGi container.

2. Adaptive forms allow you to create forms that are engaging, responsive, dynamic, and adaptive.

You can create it on either AEM Forms on OSGi or AEM Forms on JEE.

3. AEM Forms in AEMaaCS is not configured via package installation but by on boarding to an AEM Forms as a Cloud Service environment.
