Session FAQs
Q. Can we use project App Builder to communicate with 3rd party services? For example: sending form data to CRM system.
A. Absolutely! You can write custom code as part of your App Builder project that sends any data into 3rd party systems and services.
Q. Which cloud vendor Adobe uses for App Builder ? AWS or Azure?
A. We really consider that an implementation detail of the services. Based on the need, we select the appropriate cloud vendor. At the moment, I believe most of our services are hosted on Azure. App Builder is open to all existing enterprise customers.
Q. Does it work for both Inbound and Outbound requests?
A. Did you mean if the application can both receive data and send out data? If that's the case, yes that works. You can certainly set up an endpoint for your application to be pinged by external services in addition to sending out data in your application.
Q. Regarding your AEM cache invalidation use-case, why not simply send the invalidation request from AEM (Java code)? What is the benefit of having App Builder in-between?
A. ther than some limitations due to their custom implementation and performance concerns, one of the advantage of having this running outside of AEM, the developer can easily modify the "rules" for which assets need immediate cache invalidation, instead of having to do a full AEM deployment.
Q. What license we have to get to use App Builder if we already have AMS license
A. App Builder is available for purchase or sign up for our trial at https://adobe.ly/appbuilder-trial
Q. are there any limitations on the volume of the requests?
A. Yes, the system is configurable but does come with some limitations, you can read more about it in our documentation!
