Add custom styles to the tables in rte aemaacs

Avatar

Level 2

Hi,

We have a couple of variations of the RTE table and so we have implemented a couple of dropdowns on the styles rte plugin to add the class at the table level. However, the OOB plugin for table is not selectable to add the styles. only the table's cell and content with in the table are selectable and so styles can be added only to them.

Is there an option to select the entire table and apply styles apart from using the source edit option?

I am trying to avoid dom manupulations at the sling model level as well. any JS validators or other front end level fixes are possible?

Note: We are in AEM as a cloud service.

Thanks in Advance.

Hi,

Unfortunately, that's the default behavior of the Styles plugin. You would need to extend this plugin or create your own plugin to achieve what you need. Please check this thread for some references: https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/adobe-experience-manager/second-styles-plugin-for-r....

Hope this helps
