Hi @HKobayashi I understand that you want to enhance the XF publishing screen in AEM to include the on-time/off-time function. This feature will allow you to specify a specific time for publishing products, which will help mitigate the issue of multiple approval flows occurring at the same time and causing processing queues.
To achieve this, I propose the following additions to the XF publishing screen:
On-time/Off-time Items
On-time: A date and time picker field to specify the exact time for publishing the product.
Off-time: A date and time picker field to specify the exact time for unpublishing the product (if required).
Pre-processing: A checkbox to enable pre-processing for the on-time function. This will allow the system to perform necessary processing before the specified on-time.
Here's an example of how the updated XF publishing screen could look:
This has been reported to the engineering under the internal reference SITES-23478. The product team will triage this request to verify feasibility based on the prioritization model. This post will be updated according to the Jira status.
Thank you for your suggestion. I wanted to share that scheduling publication at a specific time is currently available through the Experience Fragment Managed Publication UI.
Regarding the request for an "on/off time" property for Experience Fragments, the product team has carefully considered this and determined that it’s not something they can implement at the fragment level. The reason is that Experience Fragments are designed to be used within pages, and setting an on/off time for the fragment could lead to a broken experience if it differs from the parent page's timing. Therefore, the on/off time should be managed at the page level to ensure consistency.
