Skip Assets from Asset Translation Job

Using AEM along with Translation project to send pages/assets for translation, We can configure Translation rules to exclude/Include paths with /content/dam/ path allowed.

Ex:- My DAM structure is "/content/dam/XYZ/global", "/content/dam/XYZ/us", "/content/dam/XYZ/uk" "/content/dam/XYZ/de" etc..

I have image component which will be used by authors in different sections of the page and browse images from the above paths. Here I want to exclude images from "/content/dam/XYZ/global" but take images from other locales for translation while they submit pages for translation.

I have posted similar question earlier to questions section and was asked to submit the "support ticket", hope this is the right place to submit this.

Thanks for submitting the 1st Request for Feature Enhancement (RFE) for AEM in the brand new community "IDEAS" section. This is right place to submit such requests. From your explanations I understand that it is requested to have more granular control in translation rules over included/excluded assets from translation jobs. Please let me know if my understanding is not correct. We will look into this request further and let you know if more information is needed.

Yes @hamidk92094312 you are right, at present we dont have exclude option for global folders which I want skip part of language copy job.

suppressing all asset translation you can configure in the config for your translation connector. Simply uncheck Assets. No need to use the translation rules. That you would likely do if you want to selectively send some assets to translation and others not.

In the description, you would not want to exclude /global as that is the source for all language copies. That aside, you can include or exclude any path. You can also set do-not-translate rules on certain paths, or paths that contain certain characters.
