Hi Team,
We’re planning to create 188 forms within 60 days and prefer using Adaptive Forms with Core Components for better performance.
Can someone confirm:
Does the AEM Forms AI Assistant generate forms using Core Components or Foundational Components?
Are there any limitations?
Does it work based on Gen AI prompts, or do we need to upload PDF/XFA?
Can it handle field-level validations and business rules?
Appreciate any insights from those who’ve used it.
Regards,
Vara

Hi @varaande,
The AEM Forms AI Assistant and generative AI capabilities primarily focus on enhancing the authoring experience but do not explicitly constrain the choice between core or foundational components.
Core components are recommended for new form developments due to their modern architecture, better performance, and ease of maintenance. They offer a standardized set of components that comply with accessibility standards and are easier to customize AEM Adaptive Forms Core Components Introduction.
The generative AI features in AEM Forms allow for form generation using AI prompts, which can include creating sections, optimizing layouts, and configuring submit actions. This assists in creating user-friendly forms that are mobile-responsive and visually engaging.
The AI Assistant operates through generative AI prompts and does not require the upload of existing PDFs or XFAs. It focuses on building and optimizing forms from scratch using AI suggestions AEM Forms Gen AI Requirements.

@Pranay_M
We understand that the AI Assistant is optimized for Core Components and may not explicitly support Foundation Component-based forms. Since our goal is to generate forms using only Core Components, we are interested in conducting a proof of concept (POC). Could you please confirm if this use case is supported, and share any available references or guidance on how to effectively use the AI Assistant tool for this purpose?
