Hi Team,
Does Automated Forms Conversion Service (AFCS) generate Adaptive Forms with Core Components, or does it use Foundational Components?
We are planning to migrate a large number of forms and would prefer Core Components for better performance and cloud compatibility.
Could you please share any known limitations of the tool, especially around customization, validation, or integration with business rules?
Appreciate any inputs you’re aware of.
Thanks,
Vara

Hi @varaande,
The Automated Forms Conversion Service (AFCS) utility helps you to migrate Adaptive Forms based on foundation components as well as core components. To achieve this usecase you will need to specify the template. Please refer the pre-reuisties section under the below link.
https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/aem-forms-automated-conversion-service/using/convert-exis...
Additionally, Forms as a Cloud Service supports Adaptive Forms Core Components. So, you can create Core Component-based standalone Adaptive Forms For more details, you can refer to the following links:-
Create Core Component based standalone Adaptive Forms
Create Core Component based Adaptive Form directly in an AEM Sites page
In addition to that, if you have forms currently using the Foundation Components then you can make use of the migration utility to convert the foundation based forms to core components based forms.
• Configure the Automated Forms Conversion service (AFCS)
• Migrate from an AEM Forms (On-Premise and AMS environments) to AEM Forms as a Cloud Service
Thanks

@varaande : AFCS supports both conversion to foundation and core components. Conversion to core component is the latest development and is only available as early access.
You can reach out to aem-forms-ea@adobe.com to get the feature enabled on the env.
