How to identify Standard and Light Users in AEM

Avatar

Level 1

Hello community,
I would like to get visibility on the number of AEM Standard and Light users that are currently using AEM in the admin Console. Where would be the correct place to check this and how can I know which users need to be considered in the count?
Namely, should I count users in user groups or product profiles? And how do I identify which of those groups/product profiles are reporting users that are relevant for licensing?
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards.

Hi,

According to this link: https://helpx.adobe.com/legal/product-descriptions/adobe-experience-manager-cloud-service.html, a Light User is defined as an individual who uses or accesses Asset Share and Brand Portal. It’s important to note that Light User licenses are exclusive; they cannot be used concurrently (meaning the same login ID can't be accessed by more than one user at the same time).

To check the total number of Light Users, check how many users have access only to Asset Share or Brand Portal. You can easily find this information in the Admin console by filtering by product.

Hope that helps!

Hi Esteban,

Thank you very much for your reply.

Regarding Standard Users: I do see in the "All Products & Services" view the product "Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service" with the number of deployed instances.
Do I need to count all of the users that are present in the product profiles of these instances to get the number of Standard Users?

Thank you in advance!
